Croeso - Welcome
Two historic holiday cottages -
Derwin &
Llys Derwin
These are 2 superb period cottages each
with an eclectic mixture of influences with a warm intimate
feeling. Derwin is an 18th century longhouse with a large
farmhouse kitchen and an oil fired aga. It has a spacious lounge
with a log burning stove. Llys Derwin is a fine example of an
Elizabethan farmhouse restored to preserve all its original
features. With inglenook fireplace, stone circular staircase,
oak panelling and leaded windows. Recently dated
dendrochronologicaly at C 1543. Both have enclosed spacious
gardens which are secure for dogs.
Centrally situated to enjoy both mountain
and coastal scenery on the western perimeter of Snowdonia
National Park. A 12 mile long cycle track runs to Caernarfon
Castle, an ideal walk with or without dogs. A river for fishing meanders through the land. These
properties offer a combination of peaceful and relaxing
surroundings with easy access to a local traditional pub and to
places of interest - e.g. narrowgauge railways, industrial
archaeology, historic castles, wonderful beaches and interesting
market towns with unique individual shops. Despite the cottages
considerable age they offer all modern amenities and comfort.
Perfect for a peaceful, relaxing break.
Family and pet friendly.

" We just wanted to let you
know how much we enjoyed our holiday here at Llys Derwin. The
house is lovely, beautifully presented with everything we needed
and more. Thank you for helping to make a holiday to remember "
The Harvey Family
" We wanted thanks to come to you again for our stay in Derwin
cottage. The peace and quiet of your cottages, the surroundings
and the comfort of our break will be bringing us back again soon
" Emma, Phil and Harry
" After much debate we have come to the conclusion that one week
is nowhere near enough time to enjoy all there is to do in this
wonderful part of the world. What with the walks, the
weather(!), the mountains, the steam trains, the beaches, the
lamb shanks and the fresh air my wife and I have decided that
you need at least 2 years to properly sample all there is to
offer - and that's not including the time spent gazing into a
roaring log fire in a fantastically restored 500 year old
cottage. So thank you very much for letting us stay in this -
the most perfect of bolt-holes, we'd love to come again one day
